Summer is Past

A poem by Scott E. Sutton

Art-A-Fair is over
Summer is done
And the Beebees and I
Want to thank everyone
For stopping by
To say, "Well hello!"
And "You're still alive,
Cool, way to go!"
If you need books,
But can't find me,
Go to scottesutton.com
That's where they'll be!

Attack of the Giant Cheese
A Cautionary Halloween Tale by Scott E Sutton

It happened in northern Spain, I’m told
In a quaint little village that was very old.

It seems that a farmer made a mistake
By dumping his old milk into a lake.

He used the lake as his dumping ground
So he didn’t have to keep old milk around.

At first it was fine, no problem at all.
He’d just dump the old milk over the wall.

And into the lake it would slide like a blob,
Then sink to the bottom where it sat in a glob.

As the years went by – the blob, it grew
More than even the farmer knew.

One cold night when a storm was blowing,
Lightning struck the milk blob and it started glowing!

Then from out of the depths of the lake
Came a monster that was the farmer’s mistake.

There on the shore, as tall as the trees,
Stood a hideous monster – a giant cheese!

“Caramba!” said the farmer. “This cannot be!
This monster, it lives because of ME!”

It looked very angry, a horrible beast.
It marched through the village and into the east.

Now, I wasn’t there – and I tell you, I’m glad.
They say that the monster smelled very bad.

Now the cheese monster (from what I did learn)
Was stomping around Europe and made a wrong turn.

Where did he stomp? Where did he prance?
He made the mistake of going to France.

It’s a well-known fact – French people like cheese
With bread and wine, with chicken and peas,

With crackers and sweets, and frog legs, too.
They even eat cheese that is moldy and blue.

The day the cheese came was the best day ever.
When the cheese attacked France, the French got clever.

The French brought crackers and knives by the ton.
They attacked the cheese monster and finally won.

“We had so much cheese from the monster,” they say,
“That we French still serve him in restaurants today.”

The moral to the story is – go where you please,
But don’t go to France if you’re a giant cheese!

SUTTON STUDIOS "WORLD" ARIZONA TOUR
A SpokesBeebee from Sutton Studios announced today that the planned Spring "World Tour" has been curtailed to include shows in Arizona only.  Famed artist Mr. Scott Sutton was quoted as saying "We were going to do a World Tour, but due to the unexpected shortage of cheese, a World Tour is not possible.  Everyone knows the world runs on cheese, and we are no different."

The SpokesBeebee stated that Mr. Sutton will be touring with the Thunderbird Artist shows at these locations:

Scottsdale Art & Wine Festival
February 11 - 13

Chandler Art & Wine Festival
February 18 - 20

Fountain Hills Art & Wine Festival
March 4 - 6

Carefree Art & Wine Festival
March 18 - 20

DANCING FOOLS

BeeBees To Take Dancing Lessons After Holiday Party Fiasco

At least one dozen BeeBees have "volunteered" to take dancing lessons after performing some disastrous holiday dance moves, which knocked over several tables with trays of hors d'oeuvres. According to witnesses, partners of the BeeBees involved suffered only minor injuries and no one had to be taken to the emergency room. Observers from Ree World News found out that costs associated with damage to the tables and destruction of many trays of hors d'oeuvres will run into the tens of dollars.

A representative from the Ree Dance Academy was quick to recommend their competitors for the lessons. "We have many beautiful decorations at our main ballroom, and really don't want to risk them." A SpokesBeebee for The Erf School of Dance, one of the competitors, had no comment.

ODE TO THE END OF SUMMER

Sung by the  Almost in Tune Beebee Choir

Art-A-Fair is over. Summer is through,
And we want to thank all of you,

For stopping by with fist bumps and hugs
And for surviving those terrible Covidy bugs.

Thanks for buying books, prints and dolls,
To give to your kids and hang on your walls.

Take care of yourselves and those you hold dear,
So we can see you back here next year.

If you need to buy stuff before the next show,
Type in ScottESutton.com. That's where you go.

THE 2021 LAGUNA ART-A-FAIR IS ON!

But will Author Sutton be there? Rumors abound.
"Yes," stated a SpokesBeebee, "Mr. Sutton will be in booth C-24 to sign books and sell his art work. Please contact him as to what time Mr. Sutton will be at his booth so he can be there when you arrive."
The SpokesBeebee continued, "Please note that the show times and dates have changed.  Show dates will be July 2nd through September 5th. Show hours will be 10 am to 7 pm Sunday through Thursday and 10 am to 8 pm Friday and Saturday."

NO OPENING NIGHT FOR ART-A-FAIR THIS YEAR

Toxic cookies and cheese cubes to blame

"True," said a SpokesBeebee, "We do not want a replay of 2020 by spreading diseases from cookies and cheese. We tried various methods of sterilizing cheese but the end result  was a gloppy mess."

The SpokesBeebee went on to say, "We are having an opening weekend instead July 2nd to July 4th. Bring your own cheese."

Hey spokes Beebee, How about some free passes????

Want free passes? Don't have a badge? You don't need no stinking badge! Just contact Mr. Sutton at scott@scottesutton.com and let us know how many people you want to bring in your group.  Passes will be left for you at the "Will Call" booth under SCOTT SUTTON.
