I am currently working on redoing all the art and words to the 3rd book in the "The Family of Ree" series ... "The Secret of Gorbee Grotto." It is about some mysterious visitors who come to the Planet of Ree ... but why?
The book is rewritten and I am doing the new pencil drawings now. That is how I do drawings ...I do the pencil drawing first then I ink in the pencils with pen ink and when that is done I color them in with many layers of water color. Oh ... and I just received the new edition of my "How to Draw Stuff" book which has new stuff in it to draw. I am headed out to California to visit schools at the end of the month. Scott E. I just got back from doing 2 art shows in Sarasota, Florida. I want to see what the east coast was like. We had good weather, except for one day, Sarasota is beautiful; there are Lots of palm trees and blue water and I didn't see any giant prehistoric bugs ... they must of gone south for the winter.
I will be visiting some Texas schools and then on the 21st of February I fly to Orange County California to do school visits to 13 schools in 3 weeks. See you out west, Scott E. Sutton Author, illustrator |
