BREAKING: Wizard in Training Causes Slight Magical Mayhem!
Jeeter learns flying the hard way in the latest rhyming tale from Scott E. Sutton
Reports are coming in from all over the Planet of Ree: Jeeter the Erf has taken to the skies — or tried to — in Oh No! More Wizard Lessons!
According to eyewitnesses (mostly nervous Flying Floogies), Jeeter recently attempted his first flying lesson and may have crash-landed in a suspiciously splashy location. Sources close to the scene heard a loud "KERSPLASH!", followed by the faint sound of rhyming and regret.
But don’t worry — no one was harmed (except maybe Jeeter’s pride), and Jeeter learned something important:
“To succeed you must practice. That’s what you must do.”
This playful, full-color, rhyming picture book delivers laughter, life lessons, and just the right amount of magical chaos. Kids will relate to Jeeter’s fear of messing up — and cheer as he learns that trying, failing, and trying again is how real magic happens.
Our sources say the book contains a full story in rhyme, dazzling illustrations, and one very patient wizard named Dundee. Early reports suggest it’s ideal for bedtime, classrooms, and anyone who's ever been afraid to try something new (we're looking at you, bicycle with no training wheels).

MEET THE MAN BEHIND THE PLANET OF REE
How Scott E. Sutton Went from Doodling Dinosaurs to Drawing Dundee
Before there was Jeeter the Erf, before there were Beebees and Gorbees and Sea Queens… there was a kid named Scott who spent his childhood doing three things:
🎨 Drawing
📚 Reading
🐸 Rescuing frogs from the pool
Fast-forward a few decades (and a few thousand sketches), and that kid grew up to become Scott E. Sutton — the author and illustrator behind the magical world of Ree.
But Scott didn’t take the easy path. He didn’t have a big publisher or a team of marketers. He simply had a love for storytelling, a head full of wild ideas, and a fierce desire to create books that taught values through humor, adventure, and rhyme.

DID YOU KNOW?
📖 Scott has written and illustrated over 20 books, including The Family of Ree, Oh No! More Wizard Lessons!, and Troubles with Dragons.
🧑‍🎓 His books have been used in over 1,000 school visits, where he teaches kids how to create their own characters and stories.
🖼️ Scott’s art has been featured in galleries — but he’s happiest at art shows, chatting with readers and personalizing each book with a little drawing and a lot of heart.
💬 And yes, he still does all the illustrations himself. The man can rhyme, and he can draw a Beebee riding a unicycle backwards.

WHY HE DOES IT
Scott believes that kids deserve books that are:
  • Fun to read aloud
  • Full of imaginative characters
  • Packed with life lessons (without sounding like a lecture)
  • And best of all — drawn and written with love
He writes for kids, yes — but also for the grown-ups reading along. If his stories can make a classroom giggle and inspire a child to pick up a pencil and create… he’s done his job.

WANT TO SEE SCOTT IN ACTION?
He’ll be signing books, meeting fans, and possibly misplacing his wizard hat at several shows this fall.
Or you can check out all the new book pages and freebies right here:

Thanks for being part of the World of Ree! Whether you’ve been here from the beginning or just stumbled into a wizard lesson by accident, we’re glad you’re along for the ride.
Until next time,

FROM SCHOOL ASSEMBLY TO STORYTIME: 30 YEARS LATER, A FAMILY OF REE FAN RETURNS!
SHOCKING DISCOVERY IN A BOX OF OLD BOOKS!

One quiet evening in January 2025, a former student at Hope View Elementary School unearthed something unexpected from his past: a signed copy of The Family of Ree… and a caricature drawing from a school assembly in 1994!
Tony T. reached out with this incredible message:
"You actually drew me at an elementary school assembly in 1994 at Hope View Elementary in Huntington Beach, CA. I attached a photo—I still have the drawing framed."
"My daughter pulled out a box of books tonight and found the ones you signed and gave to me: The Family of Ree, The Secret of Gorbee Grotto, and two Dinosaur Dog books. We must've met twice!"
📸 (Insert image of the framed caricature here—labeled “Drawn by Scott in 1994”)
Now, three decades later, Tony is reading those same books to his own children:
“Just finished reading my 2-year-old son The Family of Ree—and he loved it.”
That’s right. These books have officially crossed into a new generation of readers. Tony even asked if he could order more books, signed and personalized to his kids.
We here at Ree World News call that a full-circle moment. 🌀📚✨

💬 From the Author:Scott had this to say when we asked him about Tony’s note:
“This is exactly why I keep doing what I do. When someone holds onto a book—or a drawing!—for 30 years, and now shares it with their kids… that’s everything.”

🛒 Want Your Own Family of Ree Books Signed?Yes! Scott still signs and personalizes books—and he’ll even draw in them if you ask nicely. 😉
Head to ScottESutton.com and leave a note at checkout with your child’s name.
Let’s keep the magic going—for another 30 years and beyond.
To go out approximately October 1st
