I just finished visiting 3 schools in the Dripping Springs School District (in Texas) and we had a blast ... I think I made one kid laugh so hard that milk came out his nose ... at least I think it was milk ... not sure... anyways it was fun. Dripping Springs has great schools, kids, teachers and administrators. Thanks everybody for having me.
This weekend I will have a booth at the Georgetown Texas Red Poppy Festival on Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday (April 24, 25 and 26). Come on down and enjoy some good music and art and I will be there to sign books for you all 3 days. Scott E. Sutton Author, Illustrator

I was a child in the 80's who's school you visited yearly. E.W Ward Elementary, to be exact. I owned Planet of Ree book, and a few others-but fee was my favorite, growing up and of course autographed by you. They were a treasure of mine. As I grew up, I met people who had never heard of you before and I was floored by that, as I talked if your books like they were part of my family. Finally, as an adult, I meta family who was very very poor, but who's children adored reading. I passed my treasures along to those children, living somewhere in Arkansas. I will always cherish my memories of my well read books and am proud to have passed them down. How would one go about booking you to come to a school in Oklahoma and do a signing and such as you did for my school when I was a child? My niece and nephew would likely love your books and are elementary aged and I would love to find out if how to book you! Or, at the absolute least, I'd live to know how buy your books so many years later. I googled it and this was the first result so here I am .

It was great to hear from you. What a cool story about your "Family of Ree" book. I hope the family that you gave those books to enjoyed them as much as you did. When I hear stories like yours it makes me happy that I have this job.
